Below Deck is a national treasure for so many reasons. The far-removed-from-reality guests; Chief Stew Kate Chastain’s perpetual low-grade irritation with her team; Captain Lee. But this past season, quite possibly, was Bravo’s best work yet. In addition to kooky newcomers Sierra Storm and Kyle Dixon (and poor Kelley Johnson’s failed attempts at becoming a figure of authority), we had Ben Robinson and Emily Warburton-Adams. Or as Chastain coined them: Bemily.
Over the past few seasons, we fell in love with Chef Ben and his self-deprecating British humor—as did many of his colleagues. But despite his numerous on-board romances, we’ve never seen Ben come remotely close to getting serious with anyone. But this charter we saw a completely different side of the celebrity chef after he got involved with Emily. He fell hard for the English Rose, and it was sweet, albeit a little weird, to watch. (His obsession with that giant bouquet of flowers? Lil’ odd. His lashing out at a psychic? Lil’ uncomfy.) But despite Ben’s alter-ego as an aggressive botanist, Ben and Emily managed to make it work. And even more surprising, they’re still making it work.
Wondering what’s up with Bemily? Here are five things to know about their relationship.
