You may not have time to kick back and watch some TV every day of the week, but chances are you’re able to record some shows to binge on the weekend — or after that long, rough day. From drama-filled scripts to humorous episodes, I’ve found the perfect mix of shows to keep me going throughout the week. Here are ones you should add to your DVR!
Sunday — “The Arrangement”
No shame, I found this show because it comes on after “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” but I’m glad I did. Hollywood hunk Kyle West meets Megan Morrison during an audition for his movie. Soon after, he offers her a $10 million marriage contract that ends up coming with some strings, like the Institute of the Higher Mind. Some even speculate that it’s based on Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and the Church of Scientology. Find out what happens on E! at 10:00 PM ET.
Monday — “Southern Charm”
I may be biased because I’m a Carolina girl, but this show is one of my favorites. Channeling a “Real Housewives” drama with old-school charm, this Charleston, S.C. group never fails to bring some excitement (and scandal) to the screen. Bonus: Drama with southern accents is just better. You can catch it on Bravo at 9:00 PM ET.
Tuesday — “Imaginary Mary”
When Alice meets a divorced father who has three kids, it’s definitely a crazy experience falling in love with someone who has a family already. Cue in her childhood imaginary friend coming back to life to give advice and help her figure this new life out. Get ready for some crude humor and awkward situations to help you forget about your day-to-day stress. Tune in to ABC at 9:30 PM ET.
Wednesday — “Empire”
Last season, Empire was the number one show on broadcast television and rightfully so. Following a “family dynasty” in hip-hop music, viewers are drawn into a world of music, jealousy, clashes and everything in between. Things aren’t always what they seem on the outside in this family so keep up with them on Wednesdays at 9:00 PM ET on FOX.
Thursday — “Scandal”
I’ve been obsessed with this show since Season One and it takes just a few episodes to see why. Between love, murders, and the political scene, you get a bit of everything while watching Scandal. This season has turns at every episode so pre-record this one on ABC every Thursday at 9:00 PM ET.
Friday — “First Dates”
With Ellen DeGeneres producing and Drew Barrymore narrating, this show is sure to be a hit this year. Viewers follow first dates of all kinds that happen in the same Chicago restaurant. From potential love to hilarious awkwardness, follow along to see where to couples end up at 8:00 PM on NBC.
