Vivid monographs of women as seen though the eyes of the shooter

Collection CultureVulture

Fashion photographer Erik Madigan Heck's book which will be released in April presents vivid images that blur the lines between painting and photography; many were shot with the same lens he used as a teenager via a camera gifted to him by his artist mother.

Using highly saturated colors Madigan Hecks fuses models with their surroundings that  makes them pop and truly vibrant, a different take from the glossy covers of magazines we see everywhere.

He discusses his work here:

50I try to represent women in a way where they aren’t sexualized. I feel we should present women as beautiful

Many of work are accessible online through his website where you'll recognize some familiar faces including pop stars Adele , Nikki Minaj and pink-haired Kylie Jenner.
