Italian director Pupi Avati will share the unforgettable poet and writer, Dante Alighieri's life in the silver screen. The life of Dante Alighieri, one of the influential medieval poets and writers of Italy, will take place in the cinema outside the events to be held in 2021, the 700th anniversary of his death.

Director Pupi Avati announced he was investigating his life in a variety of ways and that a board of historians and scholars would help him to gather enough and correct information's.

The movie concentrated in his political initiatives in Florence, his days of war and exile and his passionate love to Beatrice that inspired him to create such poems.
