Germany invaded! By Louisiana crayfish, that is...
Ambush! Louisiana crayfish are all over Tiergarten park in Berlin, Germany, reports this Twitter moment today.
The American species has commandeered the local Berlin lakes, says the International Business Times, and that's not a good thing. Some are worried they'll consume local wildlife and spread disease.
The Agence France Press news agency says, however, that the park "welcomes" the new species and the locals call the crayfish "exotic".
This species of crayfish has been in the Berlin park for years, apparently, but only recently started to get more dominant, according to The Local Germany.
