President Donald Trump waded even further into the NFL protest controversy on Tuesday morning with a short salvo of tweets aimed at the NFL and ESPN's Jemele Hill.
Hill was suspended on Monday after criticizing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for telling his team to stand during the national anthem.
"With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have 'tanked,' in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!" the President tweeted.

He also called for ending the NFL's tax breaks. "Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country? Change tax law!" he tweeted.
Trump had tweeted in support of Jones on Sunday, so it's hardly surprising he decided to wade in on Hill's firing. "A big salute to Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who will BENCH players who disrespect our Flag."Stand for Anthem or sit for game!" Trump tweeted yesterday.
