We are not in the military

At the beginning of my husband’s career I would answer, “Yes, we’re #military” but in the same way we have never been pregnant, we are not in the military. I am proud of my husband, the work he does, the country he serves, the people he serves with. I support the long hours he puts in without overtime pay, I say good-bye to friends who have become family. I cry every time we drive away from our house for the last time and I go where the orders send us. I find new doctors, dentists, schools and friends. I navigate new cultures, freeway systems and volunteer opportunities. I move in with my parents when he goes for a long #TDY. I don’t take care of his #uniform, but I support him in any way I can. I love him and am grateful he can take care of our #family
