4) Candidates have no ties to the military community.

We have a fairly strong #history of #presidents who have served in the US #military.

#JFK was in the #Navy.

#Eisenhower literally commanded the US #Army in Europe during #WorldWarII.

Heck, even George W. has a record of serving in the #NationalGuard.

In 2016, however, not one single person running for #president has any experience serving in the #ArmedForces.

This worries me.

Without ties to the #military community, the next #president might under estimate just how much military #families #sacrifice for our country; how much we rely on #BAH or subsidized #healthcare just to make ends meet; how much of a toll repeated and lengthy #deployments take on a #marriage and a family.

The next president might be too quick to act based on #hawkish beliefs, like those we have seen spouted by the #GOP candidates recently.

Or might be too slow to react to a powder keg situation.
