Bread crumbing someone is more annoying than ghosting them

You know what bread crumbing is. Dropping little crumbs of attention, text after text, to keep someone hopeful you two may be headed for a relationship? It's about keeping the booty call opportunity warm, if you ask me.

This person does not have time for you. Or you -- if the internet bae sending noncommittal texts and never taking real steps with the recipient is you -- you are just playing with another person's emotions.

This dating tactic is sweeping the scene, there's even a Twitter moment about it. Stringing someone along, 'leading her on', teasing. It has other names and it's not new. I feel it's much worse than totally ghosting a person.

See the moment on Twitter here:

What do you think? Is this really something new? What's the reason for it, good or bad? Is #breadcrumbing worse than ghosting to you?
