We all know distracted driving is a shitty thing to do, right? So why do we keep doing it?
Unsurprisingly, PokemonGO is so popular, a study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that a) a lot of people like to play PoGo while driving, and b) for some inexplicably stupid reason, they also like to tweet about doing it.
To be clear, it's not the game's fault. It's not the fault of augmented reality games in general, either. We see tons of news stories about Pokemon GO because it's popular right now, but how many distracted driving accidents do you read about where someone was reading a newspaper, or texting, or doing their makeup, or slamming a quarter pounder with cheese?
No, the problem is DISTRACTED DRIVING. The activity by which drivers are distracting themselves is secondary to BEING A TERMINAL DUMBASS. And y'all gonna get someone killed if you keep it up.
Dude. Just don't. You're driving a two-ton weapon. It deserves your full attention. (And if you're determined to make a case for Darwinism, why on earth would you tweet it?)
