San Jose looks to lift it's first ever Stanley Cup Trophy after beating the #StLouisBlues 5-2 on May 25th, at home in San Jose. They will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins Monday May 30th in Pittsburgh, the series will travel to San Jose for games 3 and 4 on June 4th and June 6th.

Joel Ward of the Sharks puts the Sharks up 2-0

The teams played twice this year, each team beating the other away from home, though they haven’t faced each other since the Penguins hired their new head coach Mike Sullivan in December. The Sharks beat the Penguins 3-1 in their first meeting, their 5th away win in a row, of what would be 28 road wins in all for the season, a franchise record and league high.

The stage is set!

After Sullivan took over in December the Penguins turned things around tremendously, finishing 2nd in the division and racking up 245 goals on the season, 3rd best in the NHL.
