Seriously! When did it get so hard to get through to the clothing industry that real people, aka the whole population, can't fit into their awesome designer wear without extreme sacrifice, some kind of personal misery or a freaking miracle has to occur?
Tim made a must-see NewsHour show (link below) where he breaks down how women have been basically screwed by the industry that would rather standardize a preferred nonexistent ideal than accept the much harder reality that they'll have to work for a living and create actual fitting clothing -- what a concept!!!! What is particularly interesting is that they realized that there are multiple shapes of the same size woman but they decided not to accommodate our gender...
We know we've been underserved all these decades and they've been denying it and pretending this thinness ideal is what we should be striving for. Well, according to Tim, the modern American woman is between a size 16 and 18. That's not a size that ever (rarely) shows up on the catwalks.
