Welsh football player Nicholas Williams was just issued a 12 month jail sentence for a vicious tackle back in October during a cup match. The tackle took place while his side Cefn Albion played AFC Brynford, Williams apparently became upset after his opponent Andrew Barlow tackled him in what Williams viewed as a foul.
After play resumed Williams took matters into his own hands and launched himself towards Barlow and delivered possibly the worst tackle in soccer history, breaking Barlows leg so badly that 'his toes were touching his knees.'The tackle was so bad that the match was abandoned after the tackle.
Not a photo of the actual tackle, although it was likely similar in nature--
Nothing boosts the resume like a post match mugshot--
Referee Mark Stokes describes the tackle as the worst tackle he has ever seen in his career --
