As mentioned, Grammy weekend is crazy if you're a professional within the industry. But the weekend of the 58th Grammys left me with little to no sleep.
Needless to say...It was worth it. On the Saturday before the Grammy's, my co-worker, Adrian and I got invited to TheRoots Grammy party at HotelCafe, which they host annually. This night is known for attracting a star studded crowd, with some of the best surprise musical guests you could ever imagine.
If you've never been to Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, let me paint a picture for you...It holds at MOST, 150 people (really small people) and has a tiny side bar where you can order adult beverages. There is nothing fancy about this place, however, it is my favorite venue in the Los Angeles area. The energy, drinks, musical intimacy were as perfect as could be that night, with special guests like George Clinton from Parliament, Gary Clark Jr and rock n' roll badass himself, Lenny Kravitz. It will be a night to remember, that's for sure!
