Born Free: Choppers, vintage bikes, best of the West Coast
If that sweet chopper life is more your style, then Born Free is the place to be. 2017 is its ninth year running, and this must-visit Cali festival features invited builders showing off their latest creations to the expectant crowds.
From industry legends like Roland Sands and Shinya Kimura to builders newer on the scene who are building excitement, to the packed grass full of bikes that attendees bring to the show. There's a ton of stuff to see. Beautiful and unique fabrication, custom paint, beautiful airbrush work and pinstriping, you name it. Also dirt-track racing, the Wall of Death, and tons of other events to get your blood pumping hard.

A little more about the show itself, better seen in this video than described in words:
Here are some snaps from this year's show:
As you can see, the vintage Harley-Davidson love runs strong with this crowd. There's other stuff to admire as well, of course, but it's practically a requirement that you must love the bar and shield to attend.
You don't have to show your bike, but this is a ticketed event. As of 2017, no preregistration; Grass Passes (which you'll need if you do want to show your bike) are sold in advance, but general admission is simply something you pay per person at the gate. Kids and members of the military get in free.
