True wellness comes in different packages and this a 77-acre private gated property totally embodies it. We didn't know that we were in a lush desert oasis until the morning having arrived way past sunset!
The resort has been the fave of Hollywood celebs since its opening in the 30s. Julia Roberts, Madonna, Goldie Hawn, Mel Gibson, Meryl Streep and the hip LA crowd count TBP as their hideaway. It is also rumored that Suite 14 was gangster Al Capone's home when he was in hiding.
Two Bunch Palms offers a dizzying array of guest services including bathing in a grotto with hot artesian mineral waters 22 hours day, gourmet farm to table cuisine, movement and enrichment classes and an award winning spa. There's also angel card readings daily which we sadly missed. And it's also green being the first carbon neutral resort in North America relying solely on solar power!
The rooms have that mid-century modern meets neo-hippy feel to them. That's our take with the macrame pieces over the bed.
We didn't care. We only needed to pop open the bubbly after a long day! I was attempting to do a Boomerang shot while Petra was diving onto one of the beds.
The environment is peaceful and calming, designed for restoration and rejuvenation. Petra and I soaked in the warm healing waters after dinner and started with yoga the following morning at this peaceful place near the pond. It has a partly retracting roof to let air and sunshine in.
Turtles in the pond!
Oh yes the hammock which Myles was enjoying during his stay.
There's an impressive array of soothing spa services - from salt scrubs to massages, saunas to facials, Ayruveda to aromatherapy, mud baths, mineral wraps and many more healing treatments.
IG user Brittani went for a mud bath:
And the view was spectacular looking down into the pond and beyond.
The garden room where one can have a private dining experience.
