How to Pack for a Motorcycle Trip

Whether you insist on riding your bike everywhere, or you're hopping on a plane only to end up on a bike, you'll need to pack slightly differently than you would for any other type of trip. Why? Simple: limited space.

For our purposes, we're going to assume that you're an ATTGATT rider (that's all the gear, all the time), and will need to pack accordingly. If you are not, well, then you'll have less to pack.

If you plan on leaving the US, make sure your passport is in order and keep it on you at all times. Another helpful thing for motorcyclists visiting Canada or Mexico is the passport card. For an additional fee, you can have a passport card made that saves a little bit of very crucial space when you're packing. Keep in mind that the passport card only works in those two countries, and that you'll need a full and valid passport if you're traveling anywhere else.
