Man plans wedding, gives girlfriend 24 hours to get to the altar
It’s many women’s dream to have the perfect wedding day; to look dazzling walking down the aisle, while all her nearest and dearest watch. Of course, most of the time, it takes years to plan this special moment. Still, for one lucky lady, all that hassle was taken care of for her.
When Scott Williams proposed to his girlfriend recently, she had no idea what was in store for her. As soon as she said yes, she began to hear cheers all around her. She soon realized that her entire family were had been hiding in wait. Around 50 of the closest people to her had showed up to surprise her.
Scott then told her a little secret — she had just 24 hours before she would walk down the aisle. He’d planned the whole wedding in advance and it was about to take place the very next day. (Thankfully, she said yes to the proposal or things would have been seriously awkward for everyone…).
“Scott had planned everything with all my friends and family and I didn’t have a clue,” Michelle later told The Sun newspaper. “He’s quite a man’s man, so he’s not usually this romantic. He can be at times, but this was really something special. I still can’t believe he pulled it all off.”
The British couple were on holiday in Santorini when the proposal took place. “We were sitting there enjoying the views. We were about to leave to go back to the hotel,” explained Michelle, “but Scott turned to me and said, ‘I want to do this first.’ He got down on one knee and proposed to me.”
Scott had planned everything from professional makeup to what dress his soon-to-be wife would wear. That meant that all Michelle had to do was wake up the next day and go with the flow. Every small detail of her special day had been planned out for her so she just had to enjoy the ride. Needless to say, it was something of a dream come true.
