Meghan's Ex Best Friend Accuses Her Of Being "Manufactured Version Of Herself"

It looks like Meghan Markle’s LA childhood friend Ninaki Priddy will not be a maid of honour at the royal wedding this Spring. In fact, Meghan’s BFF since age two might not even be there, judging from her recent comments that painted a less than perfect image of the 36-year-old Suits actress, who is Prince Harry’s future wife.

After releasing a series of candid childhood photos published by the Daily Mail which proved just how close the two girls were, Ninaki also shared a video from Summer 1999 that showed young Meghan preparing for a Shakira music video audition.

It’s not the video that comes as bit of a shock, but Ms Priddy’s comments about the future royal, according to UK’s Express:

“I smile about the good times. We had some really great memories. But she has become a different person.”

“She is unrecognisable to me. A manufactured, exaggerated version of herself.”

Meghan’s best friend for 31-years can’t hide her bitterness that a once inseparable friend could change so much by fame and personal ambition. Even though the two girls had been “like sisters” since they were two-years-old, Ninaki seems deeply hurt by how Meghan broke up with her ex-husband Trevor Engelson, a man she once “couldn’t imagine life without,” according to the Daily Mail.

“The person I knew is not there any more,” Ninaki says.

“Meg used to tell me she couldn’t imagine a life without Trevor. She said if anything were to happen to him she wouldn’t be able to go on,” she said. “He cherished her, too. You should have seen the way he used to hold her face in his hands. We all felt he was her eternal love,” Ninaki continued.

Jewelry designer Ninaki even visited Meghan’s ex husband after the divorce came out, worried that he couldn’t cope.

“A month after the divorce, I wanted to see how Trevor was doing,” she told the Daily Mail

“We met and talked. It’s not up to me to speak for Trevor, but I know he was travelling to Toronto every few weeks and would have walked the earth to make their marriage work.”

Ultimately Ninaki realized that her friend had moved on with her life, and she wasn’t very happy with that.

“Meghan was calculated — very calculated — in the way she handled people and relationships. She is very strategic in the way she cultivates circles of friends. Once she decides you’re not part of her life, she can be very cold,” Ninaki said.

Meghan hasn’t replied to Ninaki’s harsh comments.
