What The Hell Was Kendall Jenner Doing At The Golden Globe Awards?

After becoming world’s highest paid model, Kendall Jenner is now apparently starring in a Golden Globe-nominated movie no one’s heard of. Otherwise, what business did “untalented” Kendall have to attend the prestigious film awards, Twitter recently demanded to know.

Photos of Kendall posing in a strapless gown by Giambattista Valli at the 75th Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday evening caused a stir on social media, with many users mocking the “image-obsessed” supermodel. Mingling with the likes of Garry Oldman, Frances McDormand, and Emma Watson, Jenner, as usual, was there for the cameras.

“What the hell is #KendallJenner doing at the #GlodenGlobes,” user AmorPower’s asked.

“Was she nominated for that Pepsi commercial?” another asked, referring to the controversial Pepsi ad featuring Jenner last year, which was pulled after protests that it trivialized the Black Lives Matter movement.

Following in the footsteps of older sis Kim Kardashian, Jenner has manipulated the social media and gained unprecedented celebrity and wealth for a person whose special talent is still not completely obvious.

Teaming up with sisters Kim, Kourtney, Kylie and Khloe, Kendall in reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” they introduced the world to a new type of celebrity: being famous for being famous. Using their influence, the sisters have racked up millions and have built a billion-dollar empire just by being experts in self-marketing.

By oversharing, staying always in the limelight and not being afraid of bad publicity, the Kardashian sisters are always everywhere and, honestly, don’t give a hoot what you think about them.

But are people getting tired of their sense of entitlement? The hashtag #EnoughKardashiansAlready has been around on Twitter for awhile but it hasn’t slowed down the savvy sisters.

“Not an actress, not a producer, not a director, not an activist. #enoughKardashiansalready! goldenglobes #TimesUP,” Julie Po tweeted.

But knowing how Kardashian celebrity works, they might have created the hashtag themselves just to generate publicity.
