Collection StoriaNews

What do you do if you arrive at the boarding gate late and are about to miss the flight by a whisker, watching the plane depart in front of you? Barge out of the terminal gate and chase the plane? That’s exactly what a passenger did at the Dublin airport on Thursday, September 27, shortly before 7 a.m. local time.

Police in Dublin arrested the man, in this 20s, while he was running after the taxiing Ryanair plane urging the pilot to wait. The man, along with a woman, had missed the flight to Amsterdam.

Moments earlier, the man was inside the terminal banging on its window asking ground staff to hold the plane, according to the BBC.

When the police arrived, a scuffle ensued, and the man was pinned to the ground. Two police vehicles took care of the incident.

The man was taken to Ballymun Garda Station. He is set to appear at Dublin's Criminal Courts of Justice to face charges in connection with the incident.
