The "RT-2PM Topol" is technically a mobile-launch, nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile system designed by Russia to carry nuclear warheads. However, the mobile nature of this missile system confines its complete operation to one large, wheeled vehicle that is, in its own right, a very big and impressive truck.

Fans of pre-millennial comedy films might recognized this trundling giant from the film Spies Like Us, which featured Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase on a mission to prevent a RT-2PM Topol from launching its missile at the united states. The system has also been featured in other movies, as an enduring symbol of cold-war grandiosity.

Although the cold war is now behind us. Russia maintains a fleet of these delivery vehicles, and last successfully tested on in March of  2014, at Kapustin Yar testing ground. It will eventually be superseded by the road-mobile version of the Topol-M missile.
