Get your fat lazy butt in shape: BEFORE you go to #bootcamp – you need to already have a fitness program in progress. 

You can't be at the bottom of the barrel, fitness-wise

You need to be #running no less than 10 miles a week, and able to do the service specific field test requirements 3 times a week. 

For the #Navy it was a two mile run, two minute max #pushups, two minute max #situps. The #Army adds 5 mile timed pack /ruck march requirement, and the #Marine Corps adds #pullups and a successful #run through the Obstacle course at less than two minutes. 

These are MINIMUMS – you best perform better than the bottom of the barrel.

The first time I went to camp, I was already running 50-60 miles a week, and had been through intensive #wrestling camps – so my #fitness was never a question.
