Gatherings and groups using gender inclusive language
It's a new thing, and it takes some learning. Here's an example of a writers' group that is taking progressive steps to be gender inclusive in their language.
This is a graphic BinderCon LA made for their most recent LA conference. It's what Leigh Stein, Executive Director of Out of the Binders, Inc., says is a friendly reminder that "not everyone identifies as a 'lady' so rather than saying 'Hey ladies!' or even 'hey you guys!' we can use more inclusive language like 'Hey binders!' or 'Hi folks!'"
