Summer is a season that comes with romance, sun-kissed cheeks, exotic vacations, and an explosion of juicy fruits. But all that fun and frolic also comes at a cost, that is, suntan, dehydration, and a whole lot of sweat. However, that doesn’t mean that you should keep yourself from experiencing the beauty that is summer, does it? While there are a range of skin care creams for summer, it never hurts to make your skin indulge in some amazing homemade recipes. So here are some DIY recipes for your skin to glow its absolute best this summer!
Banana Face Mask For Environmental Protection
The havoc that UV rays wreak on our skin may not be evident now, but it is definitely begins showing a couple of years down the line. On top of this, if your days involve constant exposure to sun rays, sun damage may become more prominent just within a day or two. If you don’t want to schedule a salon visit and want to take care of it at home, then nothing could be better than a banana face pack. Throw in some honey and lemon to make lighten your skin, and banana nourishes your skin to create a fine consistency.
Mash a ripe banana in a bowl and then add lemon juice and honey to it. If you have some fine oats, then add a quarter cup to it as well. Mix everything well and let it sit for ten minutes. Cleanse the skin well and then apply it on your skin. Keep it on for about 15-20 minutes and then wash it off. Repeat this about twice a week for best results.
Oils Are Your BFF
Do you know that different oils have a host of different properties? If you don’t already know about them then it’s time you got to know about all that different oils have to offer to you. For instance, coconut oil is great for providing hydration to your skin. On the other hand, hazelnut oil is great if you want moisturisation without your skin getting greasy. You can also use it to keep your oil patches in check.
You can make your own oil at home too. Just pick a carrier oil of your choice, such as hazelnut, coconut, or jojoba. To this, add 15 drops of essential oil of your choice, such as neroli, carrot seed, or passion fruit.
So you see, summer skin care is not all that difficult! All you need to do is to make use of ingredients in your kitchen!
