During summer, I feel it’s extremely important to stay hydrated for optimal health and beauty. Your body will obviously crave more fluids as you are naturally perspiring more. Sometimes I feel like a camel in the summer and just guzzle away many times more the amount of fluids I do in the winter. I am Jane and I have made a list of good choices of refreshing summer beverages:
Cucumber water -
If you follow the beauty detox program, cucumber water is a powerful detox.
Agua Fresca -
It’s my personal favorite. This delicious Mexican drink infuses water with your favorite fresh fruit. Add your fresh fruit (I like papaya and melon), stevia, lime juice and cold water to make this energizing drink.
Basil Lemonade -
Lemons are high in Vitamin C and promote cleansing in the body. The basil adds a refreshing flavor to this lemonade. Add crushed basil leaves in lemon water and stevia to taste. Chill and serve over ice.
Cilantro and Jalapeno lemonade -
Cilantro is loaded with antioxidants and is good for detoxification while jalapeno helps your metabolism. Strain the mixture of chopped Cilantro and jalapenos in fresh lime juice with Stevia to taste.
You must have special drinks listed above occasionally when you feel that you need something with flavor. Coconut water is also a good option. Staying hydrated is essential and especially in the summer season. Water helps flush out toxins of your body. My best bet is to drink pure water in room temperature.
I’m Jane, and I’m a specialist in food and diet. In my 10+ years of experience, I’ve had countless people come up to me to take my advice on their diet plans and when I tell them to include broccoli in their diet, they give me a frown that they’re reconsidering why they even fixed an appointment with me.
I’m Jane, a local dietician. Being a dietician, I know how a lot of people underestimate the role roughage plays in their diet. I often suggest my patients that they include food items that contain not just nutrients but roughage as well and most of them thank me for it.
