Hugo Schweitzer was a Gender Studies professor at Pasadena City College, where he began work as an adjunct 1993 and attained a tenure-track position in 1994. With the turn of the new millennium, he became the king of male-feminism-in-print, writing regularly for Jezebel,ﾠThe Good Men Project and The Atlantic, acting as their go-to guy for male feminist rhetoric.
Schwyzer's public persona began to crumble in 2013, when his college announced that it was beginning an investigation into his extra-curricular activities. This was prompted by his blog posts, which had begun to include information regarding his many affairs with his young, female students. He also openly admitted to being an alcoholic and a drug addict, and to trying to murder his girlfriend in 1998. While he was attempting to present these facts as part of a redemption narrative, that story fell apart when he plowed into another car in a drunken stupor, resulting in serious injuries to a 25-year-old woman and a DUI charge for the professor. His bond was set at $100,000.00, which he was somehow able to raise, despite the fact that the college terminated him as soon as it learned of his latest infraction.
Schwyzer now has four ex-wives, and works as a tax accounting assistant in Los Angeles. He has made it clear that he will never return to feminist academia, which is good news for everyone. #HugoSchwyzer #BadMan #Fail #DUI #Feminist
