I’m Jane; I had once been a local yoga teacher although I wasn’t always such a big fan of yoga. Since my school days, I’ve read that health was defined by my physical shape but with time, I’ve learned that it is not just physical but mental, emotional, and social wellbeing as well.
Last year, I attended a yoga workshop and those were some of the most challenging days of my life. Yoga exercises and postures were so tough for me as I wasn’t able to balance and I kept on falling. All my friends and even the instructor was laughing at my clumsiness. But she was very supportive as she never gave up before making sure I learnt all the positions correctly. I also learnt how health was affected by a number of factors including a balanced diet, our social circle, the way we communicate with people, the way we sleep, and a lot more.
In the workshop, they concentrated mainly on yoga and how to improve our physical, mental, and emotional health through yoga.
How yoga is the best form of workout for people of all ages
Yoga is one of the most practiced forms of workout in countries around the world including India, USA, UK, Costa Rica, etc. Yoga has a lot more benefits than what workouts in gym provide. It helped me improve my overall personality by developing not just my physical health but mental, emotional, and spiritual health as well.
The first day I went for the workshop, I asked myself “What can yoga do for my body?” The answer I got by the last day was “a lot of things”. Yoga had a lot of benefits on my body as it improved the blood circulation in my body, decreased the pain in my neck and back, increased my flexibility, and even helped me improve my diet.
