Can a Negative Body Image Trigger Mental Disorders?
I’m going to talk about body image and mental health in today’s blog. As a psychology professor, I interviewed hundreds of people regarding psychological issues. While discussing mental health with my fellow researchers, the subject of body image particularly interested me. I did some research on the relationship between one’s body image and mental health and found out that those who have negative body images are at a higher risk of getting depression, as well as physical health issues.
The Effect of Comedy
Comedy is more than passing a pleasant evening in laughter and humor is more than something to amuse. Our everyday existence depends on them. I believe that humor is everywhere around us whether you are telling an amusing story in a pub or reciting a dark story in a funeral. Comedy can totally change our feelings in a moment.
The Dusky Skin Tone
Fair and lovely is the most popular and easily sold product in order to achieve the temporary fairness. I think 8 in 10 people around me have creases of powder stuck in their neck. Everyone is behind creating babies dipped in milk. I’ve been teased with a lot of names like black magic in my childhood. I remember feeling so awful in my school that it started bruising my self confidence to some level However, I was always taught to be indifferent to all these names so it never affected me. Skin color has never bothered me in an external way, it’s just my mark of identity and I have no insecurities with my dusky skin tone. In fact, I love my skin color and not everyone is blessed with such a skin tone. I’ve really been lucky.
My Battle Against Depression
I’m struggling to decide where to actually start with. My chest gets heavier and I start shivering when I think of that phase of my life.
Dealing with a deadly feeling called depression was an everyday struggle for me. Some days were truly worse than others. Luckily, I was completely aware of what was going on. The relationship between my mind and body was not in harmony. And as we all know that awareness is the key to prevention so I don’t want anyone else to feel the same way.

Why Is Personal Responsibility Important
There will be many times in your life when you will feel dejected for a number of reasons, only to realize later that it is up to you to feel what you want to feel without getting affected by what others have to say to you. Many people call it fate or destiny, but ultimately one thing that equally matters is your life choices. It is your life choices that allow you to experience different kinds of relations, emotions, things, and circumstances. Once you realize that your life is dictated by the choices you make, you start accepting your reality and taking personal responsibility for your life decisions.
