Why? Well, for the first time with an M. Night Shyamalan film, I wish someone spoiled the last 10 minutes for me.

The movie ends with a surprise, sure, but definitely not the kind that will leave you walking out of the theater mind-blown, like how many of his customers have come to crave. Nevertheless, that slight disappointment doesn't take away from the incredible acting job of James McAvoy, who owned his complex character(s) and breathed life into every moment until the very end.

The side plot of Dr. Karen Fletcher (Betty Buckley) trying to help Kevin and his struggles as an understanding and gentle psychiatrist gives the story more depth, while Casey (Taylor Anya-Joy) portrays a heroine everybody roots for, given her tortured past and quick wits in trying to escape with her two other friends from captivity.

There's nothing wrong with that. I just wanted more, and you probably will too.
