Search For American’s Body On Indian Island Put Off

Indian officials have postponed efforts to retrieve the body of an American missionary allegedly killed by an endangered tribe in the Andaman and Nicobar islands last week.

According to the BBC, officials are treading with caution so as not to disturb the protected Sentinelese tribespeople.

The victim, John Allen Chau, is said to have been killed with arrows when he landed on North Sentinel island on November 17.

He was trying to convert the tribespeople to Christianity.

His body is still on the island is spite of efforts to retrieve it.
