Serena Williams, the world famous tennis player ranks as the highest paid female athlete for the year 2018, with total earnings of $18.1 million, out of which $62,000 consists of the prize money and the rest $18 million from endorsements.
The second in line is Caroline Wozniacki, who made it to the list of highest paid athletes by earning a total of $13 million.
Sloane Stephens, who won her first Grand Slam title in 2017 US Open, ranks third in this list with a total earning of $11.2 million.
With total earnings of $11 million, Gabine Mugurza ranked fourth in the list of the highest paid female athletes of the year.
The 5th on the list is Maria Sharapova, who earned $10.5 million last year including her earnings from prize money as well as endorsements.
