Tepco's 'Ice Wall' Fails: Deadly Radioactive Debris Mixes With Groundwater

The “ice wall” that cost nearly $324 million is failing to do the one job it's supposed to do--prevent any water from seeping into the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant, where radioactive melted fuel covers the ground.

Sounds logical, right?

However, since August 2017, when the ice wall was announced as fully operational, approximately 141 metric tonnes of water has seeped into the reactor and turbine areas every single day. That's 4,320 metric tonnes a month!

Clearly, it's not working. And the world has been lied to.

The seepage has led to tons of gallons of toxic water that Tepco must now pump out of the plant. The water needs to be decontaminate and held in large tanks at Fukushima. They already have 1,000 tanks holding 1 million tonnes. What will they do with the tonnes? How long will they have these tanks? What if they run out?

Workers at the plant predict that they will will run out of space as soon as 2021.

If you don't own a Brita filter, purchase one now. Your water is a lie. It's best to be safe than sorry.
