Circa 1800

Circa is one of those quaint places...maybe not even the first place you'd think to dine (due to the numerous choices in Fayetteville) but once you do, you will continue to go back time and time again.  Serving lunch, dinner and most recently added- Saturday & Sunday Brunch; their menu is normal fare; the big "S's" salads, sandwiches, steaks and seafood with their own special flair.  All of their craft beer is local from North Carolina, which the husband loves.

Circa 1800

But don't just take my word for it!  Their Facebook reviews are proof enough it's worth a visit! 4.5 out of 5 stars with 87% being a 4 or 5 rating!

Circa 1800 is located at 108 Person St, just past the Market House in Downtown Fayetteville.  There hours are:

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY BRUNCH: 1030am-2:30
MONDAY-FRIDAY LUNCH: 11am - 2:30pm
MONDAY-THURSDAY DINNER: 5pm-9:00pm
FRIDAY DINNER: 5pm-10pm
SATURDAY DINNER: 5pm-10pm

You can see their full menu on their website:

West Africa Takes Fayetteville

One of the most beautiful things about Fayetteville is that we're a little melting pot. Because of the proximity to Fort Bragg, we tend to have a bit of everyone represented. I mean, we're not called The All American City for nothing. We you get this many cultures together, there is a need and demand for all types of cuisine. The benefit is that even some you wouldn't normally think of immediately land right in your path...and you're forever grateful that it did. Because you get HOOKED.

West Africa Takes Fayetteville

That's my history with "Taste of West Africa" and I'm sticking to it.  I heard about it way before I made my way down.  Everything about this place is impeccable- the owners, the service and the flavors.  OH, the flavors.  My tastebuds start doing the tribe dance from Coming to America when I tried my first dish of oxtails, rice and peas. I honestly have never had a bad review or even heard of one from TOWA.  They have a great variety of vegetarian and vegan options, also!

Address: 107 Person Street
Cuisine: West African
Price Range: $ - $$
Recommendation: Peanut Butter Soup, Oxtails and Jollof and Navy Bean Pie
